Rehab for Professionals in San Antonio
Confidential Outpatient Care That Fits Your Career
New Day Recovery Services offers outpatient addiction and mental health treatment for working professionals in San Antonio. You live at home, and in many cases keep working, while you get structured, therapy-led care in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), or virtual sessions.
Your treatment records stay confidential under HIPAA. We don’t share information with your employer without your written consent.
Outpatient care only for this program: you live at home and attend PHP, IOP, or virtual sessions.
PHP runs several hours a day, typically five days a week. IOP is a lighter schedule designed to fit around work.
Admissions starts with a call, an insurance benefits check, and a pre-screening with a licensed clinician by phone or in person.
Records stay confidential under HIPAA, and nothing goes to your employer without your written consent.
We work with many major insurance carriers. Your specific coverage is confirmed through benefits verification.
Outpatient Treatment Built Around Your Work
Choose the Level of Care That Fits Your Schedule
Our professionals program is outpatient care, so treatment fits into your week instead of replacing it. Your clinician helps you choose a level of care based on your clinical needs and your work schedule.
Program length is typically 30 to 90 days. However, how long you spend at each level depends on your progress. Your care team reviews your plan with you and can step you down from PHP to IOP when it makes sense.
| Program | What it looks like | Fit with work |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) View program | Several hours a day, typically five days a week, during the day. You go home each evening. | Requires flex time |
| Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) View program | Group and individual therapy on a few days each week, in sessions of about three hours. | Designed for work |
| Virtual IOP View program | Live evening group sessions Monday through Thursday on a secure telehealth platform, for Texas residents. | Evenings, remote |
Who Our Professionals Program Is For
We work with employed adults who need real treatment and can’t step away from their careers for weeks at a time. You might be:
- A corporate or office professional, including employees of large Texas companies
- A healthcare worker, attorney, or someone else in a licensed role
- Someone in a safety-sensitive job, such as aviation, transportation, or law enforcement
- A shift worker or remote employee who needs evening or virtual options
- An executive or business owner who needs discretion
If you hold a professional license, reporting rules depend on your profession and your board. We’ll talk through your situation at intake, but we can’t give legal or licensing advice.
Signs It May Be Time to Talk With Someone
You’re using alcohol or drugs to get through the workday, or to wind down after it.
You’ve tried to cut back and found it hard to stick with.
Mistakes, missed deadlines, or trouble focusing are starting to show up at work.
Your drinking or drug use picks up after stressful or traumatic events.
You don’t need to be sure before you call. A pre-screening helps you figure out what kind of support fits.

Find Your Employer
We’ve built pages for employees of several large Texas employers. Each one explains how outpatient treatment can fit your schedule and which insurance carriers we work with.
We aren’t affiliated with these companies or their employee assistance programs (EAPs), and an employer page doesn’t mean your plan is in network. Benefits verification confirms what your specific plan covers.

Frequently Asked Questions About Rehab for Professionals
Will my employer find out I'm in treatment?
We don’t share information with your employer without your written consent, and your records are protected under HIPAA. Some things sit outside our control, like workplace drug-testing policies or how your insurance plan sends statements. Admissions can walk you through what applies to you.
Can I keep working while I'm in treatment?
Many people do. IOP and virtual sessions are designed to fit around a work schedule. PHP runs most of the day, so it often takes a short leave or adjusted hours. Your clinician will help you weigh the options.
Does insurance cover outpatient rehab for professionals?
Coverage depends on your plan. We work with many major carriers, verify your benefits before you start, and explain what we find. You can see the carriers we work with on our insurance page.
Do you work with my employer's EAP?
Our employer pages don’t reflect a formal partnership with any company or its employee assistance program. What matters for treatment is your insurance plan, and we’re glad to verify your benefits. If an EAP referred you, mention it when you call.
How long does treatment take?
It depends on your needs and how you’re progressing. Your care team reviews your plan with you and adjusts it as you go, including stepping down from PHP to IOP when it makes sense.
What if I hold a professional license?
Reporting rules vary by profession and licensing board, so we can’t predict how your board will respond. We’ll talk through your concerns at intake and keep your information confidential. For board-specific questions, check with your board or an attorney.
Can I get documentation for work?
Ask admissions at intake. With your written consent, we’ll talk through what documentation is available.
Is virtual treatment an option?
Yes. Our Virtual IOP holds live evening group sessions Monday through Thursday for Texas residents.
