We employ a phased approach, starting with a 48-hour probationary period upon arrival. Subsequently, residents transition into Phase 1. With each progression through the phases, residents gain increasing independence and privileges.

What is the Phase System and How Does it Work?

At NDSL we offer both a “Young Adult” and “Professional Track” phase system. Resident’s placement will be determined based on an assessment done by NDSL staff.

Our phase systems are designed to positively motivate residents to progress through the 12 steps as well as work towards set goals. As residents progress through their designated phase system, they will be granted more freedom in the house.
