Dawnya is a dedicated professional in long-term recovery, holding a degree in psychology. Currently, she serves as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-Intern and is a trainer and supervisor for Recovery Support Peer Specialists. With over 20 years of experience, Dawnya has worked extensively with individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Alongside her direct client services, Dawnya has spent many years in the accounting industry, bringing a unique blend of skills to her work. She holds the title of Treasury for Texas Association of Addiction Professionals and is an active member of the National Association of Counselors. Outside of her professional life, she is a proud wife, mother, and grandmother, and she enjoys building everything Lego. With her laid-back yet professional approach, she is passionate about supporting others on their recovery journeys.
